Women's Football 2019-20

belboid

Exasperated, not angry.
WSL kicked off today, the Championship has already been back a couple of weeks, and the group stages for Euro 2021 have as well.

Villa & Durham looking like the teams to beat in the Championship already, hopefully the blades can do...summat.

Tranmere Ladies (why can't we change it?) at least beat Wigan Athletic Ladies & Girls Women this week, in Division 5 (North-West).

Will be off to a blades match when they're next at home (and we're here), and have tickets for England v Germany in November.

All this talk of England wanting to become the best in the world is beginning to look like hubris.

Full squad for Saturday's game, hopefully Ellen White will be fit enough to play. I think this will be my first time at Wembley for a sold out match!

Oh, I thought I’d put the actual squad in the above post, hey ho.

not quite a sell out then, but still, just the largest crowd for any match I’ve been at. Or any women’s match in the U.K.

England were terrible at first, lucky not to be two down after ten minutes. Thankfully they got better in the second half of the first half. A rubbish penalty attempt from Parris, and Ellen White was offside for the goal, but what the hell.

mrsb learnt a valuable lesson by saying ‘this is going to be a draw, isn’t it?’ in the 89th minute.
