Campbell is scum, this attack on victims of Hillsborough and their families/friends who fought for justice is vile and utterly anti-working class. Well,DexterTCN says Campbell is “technically correct”, but he isn’t. He’s absolutely wrong: Campbell says that the 96 were “killed by Liverpool fans”. But the inquiry finding was that the Liverpool fans were not responsible: their behaviour did not contribute to the tragedy. So Campbell is not only directly contesting the inquiry findings, he’s backing up the discredited smear.
That’s quite clear.
What DexterTCN wants to do is deflect and misdirect and create confusion about the issue. He wants to smoke screen his embarrassment by getting us running round after his misdirections. The fact is the Stuart Campbell has been conducting an anti-working class smear that even the establishment has dropped.
Dexter keeps bringing up my, what he likes to call, “prediction” that decent people would be appalled by Campbell’s reaction. I was right – they were. Unless those were all “Yoons”. They probably were, eh, Dex? Dexter tried to pretend I was “predicting” something about next Thursday’s election by saying that decent people would be appalled. That’s just because Dexter can’t separate in his mind the good of the Party from the behaviour of Campbell. An attack on Campbell is an attack on the Glory of the Party, as far as he’s concerned. That’s where he wants to draw the lines.
Well Campbell already drew the lines. And people who want to stay on the same side of the line as him are welcome to. By refusing to distance themselves from his comments they do just that.
