Are they still functional?

They were kicked-out of their traditional/long standing meeting place, along with the small group of Orangemen who used it on other nights when it changed hands around the Pandemic. Not heard if they found another venue yet and their previous attempt to relocate to a community hall got a resounding FU from the locals.

There is still no great shortage of lower-grade racist/RW types going about though. :(

Yeah, they disappeared around the time of the pandemic. Haven’t heard anything of them since ‘life as normal’ resumed, thankfully.

They were bossed by one extremely malign individual who also seems to have disappeared. The one that was photographed campaigning for No with Anne Begg during the 2014 referendum.

I think I know the one you mean. He was the one who wanted to "engage" with local democracy by taking the NF into community facilities - Which resulted in local democracy making it very clear they didn't want anything at all to do with them.

Women weren't really welcomed there until the mid-late 90s. Let's just say the beery late middle aged freemasons who inhabit the place and I don't really get on.

Fair enough. I popped in early doors on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet.

There's a pub in Penzance that's admittedly great but I won't set foot in it because the landlord is an arsehole. Sometimes it's best not to know.
