Wimbledon 2019

I'm happy about the result! Why did everyone want Federer to win anyway? Tbf they were basically both as good as each other.

Federer played much more inventive, creative and aggressive tennis - mixed up the pace and spin, came to net, served mostly with pinpoint accuracy, threw in drop shots and just generally had a much more dynamic gameplan. Djokovic did his usual get-everything-back and run-side-to-side-very-fast and grind the opponent down thing.

The result was a travesty really, but whichever way you look at it, Federer will always be the [emoji238] even if Djokovic ends up with more slams - it’s like comparing Mr. Miyagi to the “Sweep. The. Leg.” guy

My take on it that he's older, he's phenomenally popular and as he's fast approaching 38 this is likely to be one of his last chances at a Slam.

ETA - I also thought he was the better player today - more creative in his shots. Although Djokovic is also a superb player, I actually didn't think he was at his best today, despite winning.

Cos he's cool and elegant. And Djokovic can appear aggressive

And you have to pick. Davis or White, Coe or Ovett, Connors or McEnroe, Bristow or Lowe, Evert or Navratilova, etc

I hope novak gets injured and doesn't win anymore majors. He doesn't deserve more than fed or nadal.
