Hm. Dundee is supposedly a hard Yes. but maybe not this area. geminisnake would maybe better be able to tell you. Plenty of yeses out of the tiny no of people there I know the opinions of.

'No' people just seem more sombre on the whole from what I've seen on the telly, whereas Yes people are generally bouncy, shouty or drunk.

Or self-important wankers - One was doing the rounds at work earlier:

"So how are you voting today? - Err no, you'd better not tell me, I don't want to have to feel judgemental after."

Err, fuck that - I'd no intention of discussing my vote with you anyway.

There is a polling station right opposite where I eat my lunch at work: there was a steady stream of people going in and out during my lunch hour and the pavement outside work was noticeably much busier than usual. Nobody could talk about anything else. A couple of my colleagues almost had a bust-up over it  One English, one Polish, both have a vote. I had a chat with the No lad later on and he's a pretty soft No tbh when you actually discuss things with him. He hasn't voted yet and was going to go after work.

My parents report that in their village (central highands) someone went round and took down all the "no" posters from the lamp posts etc. They feel there is an element of ugliness under the surface of the yes campaign and that a lot of people don't feel comfortable making themselves visible as "no" supporters.

On the other hand my facebook feed is full of middle-class thirtysomethings posting essays on why they are voting yes and how it isn't to do with nationalism and everything to do with democracy etc etc.

To be honest I am sure that it has brought out the worst in some people on both sides.

Yup, one of my bosses was saying he had to queue to get into his country poling station this morning - First time ever for that!

He's also a dyed in the wool Yorkshireman and Yes voter! :D
What's it like at your work then pogofish are most people voting yes or has that question already been asked ?

We were No-bombed at work yesterday with leaflets and stickers but this morning, a large No message was spelled out right along the top floor windows of one of our buildings.

I think there is a majority for yes but there is also a significant chohort of nos - In my immediate colleagues I reckon its about 60/40 Yes.

And we have had some pretty animated/forthright discussions (and a bit of leg-pulling too!) - but none have ended-up acrimonious.

Pictures?

I do find it great the way both sides have got everyone so involved.

Talking to neighbour, (local shop steward) very unimpressed with the MP from the South Coast of England Labour had dumped outside the local polling station. Reckoned he's got about 40% of Labour locally to vote YES,and theres the makings of some proper fractures

To be honest I've found people are mostly afraid to speak up and be counted either way. The medias fear has taken root. When I've started convos people come out of their shell that have tried hard to avoid the subject fearing hassle. Yet with an open jovial attitude they feel better able to have a say.

Had a fire drill at work today and so many outside who saw a few of us talking about indyref and my badges on my bag actually opened up.

Wastemonster and the medias scare have a lot to answer for. The cunts..
