Even NO voters aren't voting for these clowns.
its a good point

the only effective card No really have is the fear card, but with the microanalysis of events in this last week I cant see that going down too well if played by these party leaders

Cameron "wanting to listen" or pulling at heart strings is going to achieve zero
if his gig is this...
iirc cameron was going to adress a CBI dinner or something. He'll get an easy time of it there amongst his fellow breadheads
...i doubt he'll dare make the doom and gloom economic case too hard

on the AV vote comparisons- there was a lot of 'don't give a shit but will vote to smite clegg'

Wondering if there'll be/has been evidence for a similar 'fuck the tories' vote. Seems less likely because after all Scots Indy is for many a more personal issue than some twonk tinkering around with election models.

If there is a vote for independence then this is thatchers final gift. The closing of the basis for old school toryism. The real closing down of manufacturing, the economic base for the old deal and the political attack via the poll tax - they combined. And here we are.

dont think theres triumphalism on here or anywhere else - its a rare treat to see the powers that be on the backfoot, and no one is going to make me feel bad for enjoying that
There is triumphalism all over the shop and has been since saturday. The powers that be? Who on earth do you think allowed this to happen and will be in control after? local variations might get annoyed but they are the ptb

this wasnt how it was meant to go down at all - if Yes wins (and its still a big if) it won't be because the english powers that be "allowed it to happen", more that they failed to stop it from happening
