I would definitely like to see them again... they were loads of fun. I will also be "on holiday" at that point so no school night rules for me.

Grrrrr i am so gutted i missed RDF, not that i was there but i would love to see them play again. They used to play at least once every two months in my home town and i religiously went to see them.
So good :D

Ages ago some posted a link to some downloads does anyone know it?
Or where i can buy a cd from?
Or when they are playing again, in London?

You can see a few photo's on the music message boards for www.urban75.com, you may need to register though. There is also the sad but funny story about how a notorious south london DJ accidently snorted the burned remains of a recently deadRDF fan whose last wish was for his mate to scatter his ashes during RDF's set, not sure if that was exactly what he had in mind

How does it feel to be notorious Dub? :D

HA HA HA HA!

You just know that's going to become an urban legend.

In 10-20 years time Dub, you'll be at festivals and hearing ever more ludicrous versions of this story. :D

(Really reminds me of one of the Peter Loveday Russell comics which has a whole story about festival myths and legends... :D )

I saw the last of the ashes being scattered, with the scatteree saying "suppose this should be the last of him, been freaking me out a bit carrying him around with me, but it's what he would have wanted" (or words to that effect). Seemed to be in a bank coin bag, which was a nice touch, and I was certainly rather confused as to what was going on (your Good Editor giving me a version shortly afterwards)

nice to see the story mutating nicely already

madamv - what thread was it in?

um...

Ah found it! Endorse it 2006 - Photos, does anyone feel like sharing their pictures?

Did you dj in the wildcat or dance tent on Sunday, or did you get a night off?

i did midnight till 3am, and when i finished it was a bit scary - people giving me and the poor little soundman a really hard time. But it was one of the most fun sets i've ever done - really busy and I just seemed to get it all right for once :D

It was just that someone was singing the praises of the dj in the wildcat tent ...

Endorseit 2006 How was it for you said:
dj on Sunday was amazing in the wildcat tent. Def agree it should have gone on longer. Anyone know who he was???? Shame the sound system was a bit naf but ave it!!! Bring it on for next year!

Just started sorting out my photos, they're not that good or that many, but having fun :D

I know that series of comics really well ...;) .... Dub, are you sure your generous 'friends' weren't just recycling the old Pete Loveday story??? ;) :p

tis the 20th Sept at Jamm, not this sunday :)

I will SO be there. Definite highlight for me of the festival - everything was coming so beautifully together that moment; good clean perfect bliss.:) And will SO be at the festie again next year!

I had a wonderful time with all you and lots of random wonderful people- and after GG's account of her journey home, I'm doubly happy that 'my bus on sunday never turned up' and I had to travel on monday morning. ;)

And Idaho, I don't want to be nitpicking, but it's zora not zenie. :p ;)

Wheeeeeeeeeeee - that was a top-tastic festival. One of the best ever I reckon. I met so many lovely people, Urbanites and non-Urbanites alike, and just had so so much fun! This is going to be a definite on my list for next year. (I have just now finally recovered and feel human again...)

Can't believe there were so many urbanites there that I didn't meet though!

Just back from marvellous Dorset (what a beautiful place) so late back to this thread...
Had such a wonderful time...
I thought it was really well run and well organised festival with a truely relaxed and open vibe.
Saw some really great music; (which I have to confess, I wasn't really expecting) a really tight four piece women punk band followed by three Scotch hillbillies in the Mayors' tent which were awesome.
Haven't seen so many double bases for years. Really cool country/rockabilly vibe going on there...
Remember dancing outside to the Cramps feeling pretty perfect, just after the Mad Professor had finshed. (who rocked!)
So many excellent moments. My little boy pushing that dog on wheels all day and night Sunday...
Dubs' 'Dub cafe' session Sunday night, reminded me of days gone by..
My bloke insisting he'd requested soppy love song for me and dancing with me non stop (v. unusual) Very loved up and happy weekend.
Some photos here absolutely amazed I took any at all, even more amazed I didn't loose the camera...lost me phone though..:D

btw...

Just wanted to share the fantastic news that I actually got my phone back!!!
Can you believe one of the organisers, G from Pronghorn, actually took the time today to ring several numbers on my phone in order to contact me, and has popped it in the post.?   How cool is that?
He said he was absolutely exhausted from it all, but next year was definately on and would be on the same site.
I couldn't thank him enough, both for my phone, and for putting on such a wonderful festival. :)
