As soon as my head clears I'll post up some pics - there's some really funny ones in there!

Thanks again to Ms Pie Face for driving us there and back, Dub for the passes, Idaho for the fab curry, crustychick for the gin (and the Jack Daniels) and citydreams for the Sunday night pressie. Lovely to put some faces to urbanites too - great to meet you all!

I must add, that the staff i spoke to who witnessed the incident were good and told the silly bitch to walk, and also made sure I was ok, gave me a drink etc :D

Thanks for that :)

nicest security i've ever seen at a festy, so I actually told 3 of them :)

They were just helpful, friendly, seemed to be having fun. Lovely stuff.

Even when that slightly mad woman climbed right to the top of the Wildcat tent and stood on top, they kinda lured her down and told her off :) rather than dragging her away or throwing her offsite or whatever

There seemed to be much more of a happy blur between punters and performers, with many seeming to be both in their own different ways - the punters often being happy to entertain themselves and the performers spending a fair amount of their time watching the other acts and being out and about.

And I was gobsmacked at how hard Pronghorn worked.. the promotions company is just them as well (or a couple of them) and they never bloody stopped all weekend. Ffi the fiddle player seemed to be in a fluoro jacket organising stuff on a radio one minute, then onstage playing the next. They looked knackered but happy yesterday.

It is a credit to them that they managed to balance organisation and happy festival chaos. Looking forward to next year already :)

There would have been trouble if my girlfriend had met Dubversion's sister...

;)

I didn't fight her! I have no recollection of fighting *** although I do remember me and ***** fell out once. I didn't fight anyone at school and certainly not at the age when I knew your girlfriend. I would have been too bloody scared, she's older than me.

Definitely mistaken identity.

Ah lovely pic Dub. My hub looks like he is trying to squeeze one out!

Looking at that pic, I feel even sadder that I didnt make more of an effort to track down more Urbs. Sparklefish and Magic Sams tent looks great in that pic too....

and I never made it for my egg :(

That was excellent :D

Had a wicked time. Great line up, cool friendly people, old rosie and next to no rain. One for next year definately.

Nice one Dub, for your set late on Sunday... a nice way to finish :)

There was this bloke in the crowd for RDF with a bag of powder and he opened it and offered it to Dub who obviously thought it was drugs of some kind until he noticed it was grey and a bit chunky. It was this guy's mate who had bought a ticket to see RDF and died before the festival. His friend brought him along to scatter during the gig and was getting people to do it.

Classic!

Great summary!

What a great weekend... such a lovely little festie, just the right size and lots of friendly people... already in my calendar for next year. :)

Big thanks to citydreams for being my chauffeur, breakfast bar and tea-maker for the weekend; Idaho and pieface for the lush curries on saturday night; and zora for the little pick me up (no power napping for me! ;))

One of the highlights for me was a band setting up by the portaloos and drawing a crowd nearly as big as some of the bands on main stage did... they were great! Then spotting that I went to school with one of them, who I hadn't seen for over 10 years! Oh, and Sunday was class too... the amount of men in hats and sparkly dresses outweighed the ladies! (I wore a dress... but was too windy for my hat :()

Can't wait to see a few more photos... I should have some scanned in by the end of the week (maybe).

I just looked them up.. Imperial Leisure - they're playing in Jamm on Sunday (I'll be at Beautiful Days)

They were wicked... just looked at their website and it seems they do loads of these guerilla gigs - just jumping out and playing wherever...

Class! Must've been so hard for them to play :D
Obviously something about their music that encourages people to strip

It wasn't very hippyish really. Not sure if I can describe the average punter. More ageing punks and ex travellers really. With a fair number of local youths, lots of families and a few general folk.

Coming next year then Hollis?

Not too many out and out hippies as Idaho says (I guess they werw mainly resting after the Big Green Gathering!). Lots of exTravellers and dreads and punks and (especiially) local sounding alternative types generally though

A slightly dodgy rule of thumb for me at festivals is that the greater the number from the Dread Collective present, the better the fest ... I'm sure this is sometimes bollocks, but it worked fine this time anyway! :p

I shall have to see if I feel refreshed after a years sabbatical from the festival scene..

Were the West Country crustie element out in force?
