I now have a word that to describe certain people I have seen on demonstrations: anarchite.Anyway, I suspect most Socialist Appeal/RCP members are Trotskyite rather than Trostskyist. This is becsuse I doubt many of them have enough understanding of Trotskyism (as an ideology) to make them a Trotskyist.
No, they're often, at best, anarchoid.I now have a word that to describe certain people I have seen on demonstrations: anarchite.

This is indeed hot gossip.Heard a great bit of RCP gossip this weekend, apparently they sent Fiona Lali, who they're clearly trying to build a cult of personality around despite no-one really knowing who she is, to a students' union this week to give a speech denouncing the SU for being complicit with Zionism and genocide by censoring their student society for its solidarity with Palestine.
The censorship in question consisting of having deregistered the student society because a) the form to keep it registered for the new year hadn't been submitted by the required date and b) they need to have at least three students as members and all their members had now graduated.
Pan's people say that hot gossip is as much use as a ruby flipper. This is indeed hot gossip.
Good one. I had to check the reference, as I could not quite remember if it was the name of a person or a group.Pan's people say that hot gossip is as much use as a ruby flipper.
I suppose the US section have a different challenge, in that UK trainspotters hear RCP and think the Furedi/Spiked lot but US lefties will head "revolutionary communist" and think of the Avakian lot.
Dont forget the Neath by-electionI suppose the US section have a different challenge, in that UK trainspotters hear RCP and think the Furedi/Spiked lot but US lefties will head "revolutionary communist" and think of the Avakian lot.
I remember it like it was yesterday. Well actually I had to look it up, but good to know that the official RCP history of it features colourised pictures of a young Ted Grant:Dont forget the Neath by-election
Well that's a relief isn't it.A gaping abysm now exists between the Washington elite and the mass of the people: this was a kind of ‘Peasants Revolt’ – a plebeian insurgency and a crushing vote of no confidence in the existing order...
The wheel of history is turning in the USA, and it will turn again. Once the masses have fully explored the potential of Trumpism and realised its limitations, they will turn in a different direction. The way will be prepared for a massive swing of the pendulum to the left.
A new and turbulent chapter in American history is about to be written.
Alan Woods patiently explaining the Trump win from a Marxist viewpoint is quite something:
Trump victory: a kick in the teeth for the establishment | The Communist
With all the cards stacked against him, Donald Trump has won the US presidential election, tapping into a deep anti-establishment mood in society. A new and turbulent chapter in American history is about to be written, writes Alan Woods.communist.red

You're right, it should be "Join the Socialist Workers Party, Smash Capitalism, Free Palestine"I will now make a small diversion.
I have seen stickers and posters and placards that read "Free Palestine Smash Capitalism Join the Socialist Workers Party".
I think that this is not a good combination of slogans.
I’m a little unsure, but I seem to remember it went “sell the paper, build the party, smash something or other” in my day. You're right, it should be "Join the Socialist Workers Party, Smash Capitalism, Free Palestine"
