Where the f*ck are my glasses?

I can understand that - as I said, my glasses are not for moving around with, just for close (laptop screen) and very close (phone/book) work or reading. I'd definitely feel weird if I was doing other stuff wearing them.

If I started a thread every time I lost my glasses, U75 would need an extra server to deal with the bandwidth. Fortunately my phone also spends half its life lost so there's no chance of me starting to do so.

They will turn up somewhere shockingly obvious.
I've sometimes looked all over for my glasses when they've been on my head.

I often misplace my mobile in my flat, so I find by using 'Find my device' for Android phones on my laptop, which makes my phone ring so I can find it, it's very useful.

you need to get a pair of 'looking for the glasses you have put down somewhere' glasses...
I've only been wearing reading glasses for about ten years and have a very mild prescription 2.50+, so every now and then I buy several pairs of Poundshop reading glasses for back-up, and back-ups for the back-up, for when I invariably lose or break my expensive proper glasses. It often takes me a couple of months to replace my good glasses because I find it so hard to find ones that I like and which suit my face shape.

I often wear my reading glasses while out and about, sometimes on my head, but often on my face, which means that things are a bit fuzzy. If I wasn't wearing them, I'd lose them, or I think they might get scratched by my keys if I put them in my bag.

I now have 3 pairs of serviceable specs, so when I lose a pair, if I can't find them quickly in the usual places (on my head, keyboard, or hanging from the neck of my shirt) I just take another out of the bowl on the bookshelf and use those. Mrs Spy eventually finds the lost ones laying around and puts them in the bowl.

Works well. The bowl is never empty.

I bought 3 pairs of cheap ones for a fiver each or so from some website. Same idea, usually in contacts but not finding glasses is irritating as fuck. So they are in a pile on the desk.

Glad to hear they turned up.

Top tip - Invest in those bits of string you attach to your glasses so they’re always hanging off your neck
I've been using such a piece of string for the last 3 years now. I only need my glasses for reading so I'm constantly taking them on and off. the string round my neck means I never not have them when I need them.

I lost mine a few months ago. I've been wearing varifocals for 3 years now and I'm fucked without them. I have a spare pair because I got blagged on the two for one but the pair that went missing are my favourite of the two.

24 hours later my mum text me to say that my Dad was saying he couldn't see the telly properly since I'd let him try my glasses on.

Mrs Q is much like you and buys loads of cheap ones which she is forever losing or breaking. She dropped one pair in the paper shredder at school once.
