Where the f*ck are my glasses?

Right, I'm pretty sure I walked out of my room holding them (they're for close work, so can't wear them while moving around), intending to take them downstairs for reading a recipe on Monday night. They're not essential, can manage without them but not finding them us driving me nuts. But I think I was distracted by something en route, either some finished laundry or needing to check something on my work laptop in the spare room.

They are not on any open surface, they're not on top of the washing machine or next to it, they're not in my son's room where I might have gone to get a laundry airer. They're not in the kitchen worktop or under the sofa cushions or on any of the shelves. They do not appear to have been put into any of my bags in a moment of brain fart (has been known to happen with phone etc). They haven't left the house, if I'd somehow walked out with them in my hand to give son a lift to or from Scouts on Monday night, I'd have 100% put them in my coat pocket and they're not there. Or I'd have put them on hallway shelves first and they're not there.

Where are my fucking glasses?

Mine are usually on the side (any side) close to other Stuff that I am used to seeing there, so they don’t visually stand out as being there

By the toilet
Checked bathroom and downstairs loo that evening,as those are prime suspects for phone scenario.

Also, cleaner had just been on Mondays so house was actually tidy, so it would be hard for them to have been under/behind anything in a surface.

If I started a thread every time I lost my glasses, U75 would need an extra server to deal with the bandwidth. Fortunately my phone also spends half its life lost so there's no chance of me starting to do so.

They will turn up somewhere shockingly obvious.
This is what I fear, like they're somewhere obvious in front of something blue, which I why I haven't spotted them, but I'm usually quite good at finding semi invisible things.

Could you post up a diagram plan in the style of cluedo, noting the position of any secret passages in your house to aid our deliberations?

I'm quite good at leaving things in specific places, so I can find them again.
When I don't do that, my most successful method of finding whatever, is to go back to where I know I had them last and retrace my steps from there.
Assuming, of course, that someone helpful hasn't moved them "for safekeeping" ...

Otherwise, do a fully systematic search of each room in turn.
[I had to resort to that a few times ...]

Try the fridge.
An ex once asked me where her purse was.
I flippantly said the most stupid thing I could think of "Have you tried the fridge?".

She walked off to check the fridge.

What!? She took that suggestion seriously?!

She returns.

"Yep it was in the fridge".

Still one of the most baffling interactions I've ever had.
1. Why would she put it in the fridge?
2. Of all the stupid suggestions I could have made why did I choose the fridge, the place where it actually was?!

For me it's sometimes:

1) check places where lost glasses etc. are often found like sofa cushions, pockets of anything I was wearing
2) check normal places like kitchen surfaces etc.
3) check odd places like fridge etc.
4) find lost item during secondary check of sofa cushions

or under the fridge / sofa, if you live with a cat...

I got a new pair recently, they are see through plastic. . . I had no idea until I placed them down for the first time how invisible they would be . . . especially when I haven't got my glasses on!

I often leave mine on the chest of drawers on the bedroom. Right next to, but not in, my glasses case
