I opened a St Emilion tonight, assumed it was corked and opened a bottle of Rioja instead. Is St Emilion really supposed to taste musty?

In fact I was disappointed when the bottles I kept for several years lost that.

I'm drinking it now, though, tastes a lot smoother tonight. Maybe letting it breathe a bit helped. Or perhaps is the fact I haven't just eaten a spicy pizza.

I rarely enjoy wine the first day

When I first tasted St. Émilion, I was transported back to the cellars of Chateau Mouton Rothschild which I visited in 1974 or 5. I swear the walls were more than half an inch thick with mould

Nate came home with a couple of bottles of älska "Nordic berries cider" - it wasn't at all cider-like IMO, but it was fucking delicious Would drink again for sure. It's vegan and gluten-free.
