What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Haddock steamed on a very rich salsa of garlic, onions, red peppers and tomatoes with sliced potatoes. Seasoned with coriander, pepper and balsamic vinegar.

It is very nice.

tonight would have been coq au vin BUT i half cooked it yesteday evening and managed to chuck half of it (mainly the juice) into the oven cos the stupid shelf is only held in place at the front  so if you push something heavy to the back it falls

so now it will be the salvaged coq with some water added to hopefully make a reasonable sauce.

I will name it COQ AU EAU <- that in itself has made the oven disaster slightly worthwhile :D

Yesterday my sister and her husband came round for dinner.
He is famous for his sausage stews (he cooked me one which brought on labour!) so I made the, a sausage stew with sage dumplings, broccoli and green beans.
It got the thumbs up all round.

Today might have to be a stir fry with plenty of garlic and ginger to banish this 'orrible cold.

Going to the village for tea, but I am currently eating slices of tofu with the skin on, dipped in Lea and Perrins.

Something quick as I'm off out stripping for strangers again.

Maybe spaghetti/chilli/garlic/parmesan, or just LG tom and basil sauce with fusilli. Or beans on toast. So fucking hungry right now that I can't think straight. Come ON lunchtime!!

N idea  bees is out with work so it's just me and pickle but I'm so knackered cooking isn't high on my agenda. Beans on toast, fish finger sandwich, something along those lines tonight
