What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Took a lump of beef out the freezer for tomorrow so not pork. Will do a curry with unused beef which there will be because am the only one who eats it. Father chews it and spits it back out 🥳

I've got 2 chicken legs defrosting which I am going to roast completely plain.
tbh I don't feel much like eating but I ought to and I promised Jakey that he could have some roast chicken tomorrow for his last meal, if he wants to eat anything - he's not got a lot of appetite but I am hoping he'll enjoy a few bites of chopped up chicken leg meat tomorrow. He's not had any since his CKD diagnosis as it's too high in protein and he's been on a special diet, I'm hoping he can at least enjoy a little bit before we say goodbye. It was always his favourite, well that and cheddar cheese.

I'll do some roast potatoes and peas and gravy to go with my leg.

Not eaten today so there's a medium pasty and a pizza with extra toppings to throw on it. Been having more wraps for extras to try and cut snacking on non meal type things and it helps keep me feeling full longer. Also cuts off drinking when I eat something. Something to work on and need to do some bulk meals.

Have a veggie mexican for 6 to make soon for boxing day and chicken for who wants to add it. Plus all the sides. Think some curries, chili's and pasta/pizza sauce over the holidays is a good idea to bulk out the freezer.

Been way to much into sugary things lately but Christmas is awkward for that.

As I already had a Turkey Christmas lunch I hadn't much room so I had a tin of Heinz carrot and coriander soup and some brown butties.

Roasted veal (assuming I haven't already burned the Jesus out of it) with roast potatos (with garlic and rosemary in the Italian style.. and I refuse to include an "e" in a word simply to indicate plural), carrots, cauliflower, legumes and balsamela.

I think I'm going to do a tuna casserole, it's not one of my favourites, but N has been asking for one for ages - and more importantly, we have all the ingredients available (including garlic bread to accompany it in the freezer) and our grocery delivery isn't due until tomorrow.
So it would seem the sensible option.

I do actually have most of a roast chicken leg in the fridge (Jakey's one that I cooked last night, he only managed a little bit of it but that little bit did seem to make him happy in his final hours which is great) so I might do a chicken version (think "chicken supreme" retro style thing) for myself to use that up - although it's a bit sad that he couldn't manage more than the little bit of meat I chopped up for him, there's no point in wasting what's left.
