What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I just realised that SW allows only bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes as a syn free grill. So I've been counting sausages and black and white pudding as zero syns.....oops...lol

Amyway.....feck it. I got my appointment for my operation so I'm nomming on some sourdough bread with butter and blackcurrant jam .

I can start dieting again tomorrow... :D

You can have slimming world frozen sausages from Iceland for free but they're a bit grey and nasty!

I have only used mozzarella in a pasta bake. My stepson had mine on Monday and said it was different from his mums firstly for having no meat and secondly he said hers has a cheese top that you crack through which made me think cheddar. He enjoyed both though & it was good for him to see different ways of cooking a dish.
Inspired by this, I'm doing a pasta bake with mozzarella this evening.

What are chilli salt chips and where do I get some?
Chips with chilli and salt (no shit!) but I swear they put a bit of garlic and soy sauce and other stuff in them too. It's possibly just chips bunged in the stuff you get chilli salt squid in but they're ace. Whoever had the idea is inspired. New Hong Kong in Penzance is the only place I know that does them and I usually get my takeaway from them for this reason alone.

My local place does chilli salt chips too Voley ordered some once due to you posting about them.

We are having aubergine & lentil curry with basmati rice. Aubergine has featured heavy in my meals this past week.

The people having pasta tonight reminded me I have a bit of leftover tortellini in sauce (well, technically repurposed soup but it does the job imo) in the fridge, so that for first tea with a cuppa.

Jacket spud & pork etc again for second tea, coconut flavour yoghurt and a kiwi fruit for after.

Baked spuds were epic.

Tonight I'm doing shepherd's pie with carrots and broccoli. The tiddler has backslided into pickiness over the summer hols and I thought I was cooking something she's raved about that she had at a mate's house but have just been informed that was lasagne and now I doubt she'll eat shepherd's pie and I might end up just doing her pasta rather than get in a strop :rolleyes:

We're going swimming tonight! Not been for 22 years :hmm: We're not even sure we still remember how to :D:oops:

We'll need something fast and filling afterwards, so must try not to go into the excellent chippy that sits opposite the fitness centre :hmm::thumbs:
