I was resigned to the fact that she'd gone for good. She's a wild bugger and disappears for 3 weeks or so at a time but usually comes back when the weather's bad. She's never been away this long before. She's a bit thin but looks ok apart from that.

Been out for a run, made a fruit smoothie for breakfast, now it's some herbal tea and a bifta before a day of double checking everything is in place for ones forthcoming holiday.

It's brilliant out running early in the morning, it's so bloody peaceful and solitary it's lovely. Yous should try it.

Somewhat spoiled by having to go to Tesco for the coffee I'd forgotten - I didn't need anything else so had to fill up the shopping bag with bog rolls, kitchen roll and the like ...

I'm about to start on my puncture-proof rear tyre which has a puncture after 8 months - my bet is a sliver of broken glass - masses of it around here - exactly what pleasure is there in smashing bottles on cycle paths ?

Bit of food shopping

Chuckling at a letter I've had from my neighbours complaining that my bass shakes their living room. It's not funny but really, I've only got Bose powered speakers and I don't have it on that loud:

We have moved from South London to enjoy the Finsbury Park area. However the base sound coming from your flat is interrupting our living enjoyment of the new flat. For example, this morning at 9:00AM sharp we were awoken by the noise.

9? They should be out of bed and making the most of the day by that time and who wouldn't want to be woken up by the quite frankly brilliant "Beautiful Struggle" by Talib Kweli?

I did turn ny base (!) down when I got in though. They've seen the light and moved to North London so can't be all bad.


I've also been making a sweet potato cake. Which I shan't be eating much of, obvs.
