What you been doing for the last two hours? (pt4)

madz that sounds like a perfect day love  sorry you're not good today x

I've been scanning some more recipes, looking forward to having a kitchen back and having cravings for bakewell tart

It was. I'm paying for it today though. Fucking lymph nodes the size of grapefruit . Well, grapefruit's pushing it but they're swollen and sore anyway :D

Blimey  Have they gone down now then?

And yet you keep expecting her to be :D I'm the same with my 21 yr old - never learn.

I know I know :D Here's to optimism!

Well, we just got back from the beach and it was fucking ace. Funny dogs everywhere doing daft stuff, lots of happy people enjoying the sunshine, and we timed it just right. As we were driving out, there was a queue of cars alllll the way down Victoria Road. Suckers! :D

i've been studying.

first time i've felt like doing any for weeks :D i am so fucking behind it's not true and it's going really slowly, but i feel optimistic and actually slightly interested in what i'm reading

going to take notes and stuff till 6 and then off to ashby for a bank holiday pub crawl. fantastic.

Finished a game of Madden on the PS2, cleaned my teeth, drank two glasses of water, ate about 100g of Cadbury's Caramel, stuck the Mac on and went online. Felt the need to share.

It was. Today's not been too shabby so far either

They've got worse if anything  I knew I wouldn't be good after walking so far but I didn't think it would kick in till tomorrow or the day after. S'ok though, I know it'll pass and sometimes I know something is going to make me feel shit but I do it anyway. I get so fed up being careful all the time. Gotta live a little aincha?

Oh dear, but yes, you really do, and that day sounds like it was well worth it :)

trying to have a nap, drinking a lot of water, feeling rough, failing to get the kids to share their choc with me, piecing bits of last night back together, and trying to find a chemist or drs that is open tmw

He's being made a freeman of the city of London (shame it's not Manchester, but you can't have everything ;)), and that gives you the right to drive your sheep over London Bridge. Rather than try to get real ones on the train, we thought we'd take some knitted ones :D

At Bat for Lashes gig at Birmingham Town Hall. Gig was very good and I was very impressed with the work on the town hall.

Had an ace day yesterday After a false start where we realised we'd left one of the kids at home we managed to meet Ground Elder and Mrs Ground Elder and go for a nice walk to St Ives. We met up with the lovely Two Sheds and had some lunch in the Sloop. Thanks to me and Mrs Ground Elder performing a faultless pincer movement we manage to get a table outside and enjoyed the sunshine for a couple of hours. Then another ambling walk up to the Island (an old chapel built really high up on a hill in St Ives with superb views of st ives and the coastline) where I had a rant about over development and Ground Elder taught us a bit of history  Then we bimbled accross Porthmeor beach, walked back through town and went our separate ways. Quimmy bought an ice cream that was taller then her and we caught the bus back to my house. It was an interesting journey and the only time I've ever known a bus driver get a round of applause :D

Mr madz said he'd drive us into town to get take away as I was a bit too knackered to cook really and while he was ordering the food I managed to blag me and quimmy into a Private View which had free wine :D

Then back home, fire lit, take away scoffed and finished off with the last of middle madz's white chocolate cheesecake and I passed out on the sofa, snoring until bedtime.

Perfick

Perfick, indeed.

And today was gorgeously sunny, with lambs to feed and gambol and eat.

:)

the only bad thing was I had to go home.

Hoovered the kitchen, washed the kitchen floor so it is clean enough to eat from, well the cat thinks so and am now on mouse watch!

A rather large one has invaded the front room and is hiding out somewhere on the bookcase. We have tried to catch him with a colinder but so far failed,

The cat is being of no use though tbh I would prefer if we could catch the mouse rather than him ending up between some ginger and white jaw.

That sounds brilliant. Glad you had a good day :)

lolling at: ice cream taller than quimmy, and madz having a rant (really? no! never!)

You should have heard me and Ground Elder as we went past the immorally huge and posh houses in Carbis Bay :D

Been grinding a paste in my pestle and mortar. Love doing that. Then frying various things. While watching House.

I've had little sleep - been decorating my living room :( decorating and living in what seems to be a shit heap covered in plastic sheets is not good but tomorrow I will be happy :)

Out in town with a mate, marvelling at my lack of ability to decide what the fuck to do in this shithole of a town especially as its there last day here before heading off up country. Yet another very good mate leaving, since then mainly wallowing in boredom and generally feeling shitty at the fact I feel like Im going nowhere very slowly, even planning to go out the county to visit people twice next week hasn't helped much. Fact I was ridiculously ill yesterday and am feeling very run down and disappointed with myself isnt helping.
