What you been doing for the last two hours? (pt4)

only to be woken up by the 10 yr old standing next to my bed saying he'd had (yet a-fucking-nother) bad dream.

I was still awake at this point. I heard some moaning and thought, ''Is that Madz having a quick furtle?''

Anyway I'm awake. I had a glorious sleep. Gone by 12.15 and woke up about 8am. Decided that was a little to early and went back to sleep for another couple of hours. So that's what I've been doing for the last couple of hours.

Breakfast, shower and off off for a gentle coastal walk. The sun prevails.......so far.

:)

Got some paint samples from Homebase - yellow for the living room, either burgundy or maybe purple for the dining room - and am half way through making some candles.

The first layer - blue - is done, when that is set will add the second, red, layer :)

I spend it in a futile attempt to find a copy of the original tetris and pipe dreams. I spent a couple of hours on it last night and got to bed really late.

Now, I'm off to help with the maple syrup. The sap is running fast today and we still have sap from yesterday.

Oh well, at least it's bright and sunny. Temp is supposed to go up to 10 today :)

Cycled down to Holland and Barnett for some bread seeds, sleepy tea and pudding.

Past hour I've been watching a French TV programme about Brittany ..

been for a bike ride in the countryside, weather was just right

ate too many chips for lunch, cycled back (very slowly ).

now drinking tea.

Nipping into Woolwich to go to the market
Getting back, putting shopping away and making a cup of tea
Now writing my pitch for next year's funding, and getting on rather slowly with it.

I wish I could, it's been a banner year. Sadly, it would cost a mint in postage. Next time you're over, we'll give you as much as you can get home.

eta: full points to your host family - Mont Tremblant and maple syrup - they did good!!!

Doing dishes, drinking nuclear strength black coffee, about to skin up, sort through a few photos of yesterday (I got all smartarse and pomo and decided to take pictures of the pictures that were being taken - they came out alright an all!), and then off to the beach!!

I am going to stroll in the sunshine and enjoy the fresh air, and the daughter is going to be shovelling sand into plastic bags to bring back for use on her Fear and Loathing set for part of her portfolio :D

Doing dishes,
w00t, me too. Have had a nice tidy up - very very satisfying, + there's loads more to do so I'm pretty fucking happy.

Was supposed to get on a buckle last night, but had 8 wonderful hours sleep instead so this morning I'm dedicating to cleaning my home, not that it's dirty, but it can always do with attention.

Am having a coffee now with a bifta.

If you lived close I would Soj'. As you know I love it.

Sometimes I have to look hard for things to do cos it's always so flippin tidy. We done a shop recently and I've just noticed mrs hasn't populated the cupboards by food genre  with labels facing forward etc.

She needs a good spanking when she gets home later :) after I correct her mistakes of course

Had an ace day yesterday  After a false start where we realised we'd left one of the kids at home we managed to meet Ground Elder and Mrs Ground Elder and go for a nice walk to St Ives. We met up with the lovely Two Sheds and had some lunch in the Sloop. Thanks to me and Mrs Ground Elder performing a faultless pincer movement we manage to get a table outside and enjoyed the sunshine for a couple of hours. Then another ambling walk up to the Island (an old chapel built really high up on a hill in St Ives with superb views of st ives and the coastline) where I had a rant about over development and Ground Elder taught us a bit of history  Then we bimbled accross Porthmeor beach, walked back through town and went our separate ways. Quimmy bought an ice cream that was taller then her and we caught the bus back to my house. It was an interesting journey and the only time I've ever known a bus driver get a round of applause :D

Mr madz said he'd drive us into town to get take away as I was a bit too knackered to cook really and while he was ordering the food I managed to blag me and quimmy into a Private View which had free wine :D

Then back home, fire lit, take away scoffed and finished off with the last of middle madz's white chocolate cheesecake and I passed out on the sofa, snoring until bedtime.

Perfick

Sounds fab mate

I am currently trying to get the daughter out of her pit. She always does this - night before, it's all 'no problem, I'll be up and ready for 10', and she NEVER is

It was. I'm paying for it today though. Fucking lymph nodes the size of grapefruit :( Well, grapefruit's pushing it but they're swollen and sore anyway :D

And yet you keep expecting her to be :D I'm the same with my 21 yr old - never learn.
