What you been doing for the last two hours? (pt4)

I'm looking for the big, long, tall ones. Someone suggested Kmart, but I think he's wrong. I need a shitload of candles for tonight. And flowers.

And I gots to make some food. And buy drinks. And, well, first I gotta figure out how to get out of bed without having my head explode or falling over.

I'm on my way.

Does it have to be Manhattan?

Does it have to be Manhattan?

yes.

really, bodegas in Washington Heights are the answer

but I'm not in any shape to trundle up there, let alone to another borough

my friend is bringing the candles, I think - so I don't have to deal with that in my current state

seriously? i was outside on the barbeque for 1.5 hours in the dark cooking chicken and other stuff for my brothers party. about 20 are here already

somehow bbqing isn't the same at night :hmm:

Singing in front of an audience for the first time in 4 yrs.

what did you sing and where?

I was hanging with the last of my guests, cleaning, washing dishes, scrubbing makeup off my face, taking goofy photos with my friend, and feeling lucky to have such wonderful friends.

I sang a Charles Causley poem which has been set to music by the guitarist from this lot. It was an evening with them and a couple of local writers for a festival of words or something.

It was very high - way out of my normal/comfortable range and I thought it sounded like a pile of pants. People said they liked it though so I wonder who I should believe :D I have a recording of it but I'm not brave enough to listen to it yet :hmm:

I want a fry up :(

Quite a buzz, eh, madz? I did a similar thing over the summer, which was also my public debut on a new musical instrument. Eep.

I've just woken up, so a shower followed by bacon sarnie, I think.

No, I hated it :D I sang perfectly all through rehearsals and then all hell broke loose in my life and any modicum of talent I had deserted me - drama queen, moi? :D

Will you be doing it again?

Putting a beef casserole in the slow cooker

I've just put one of those in the oven.

Cooking that ^^^, taking and fetching teen from trampolining, looking at my bloodstained sheets (the little one had a nosebleed in my bed last night!), looking at the weather and despairing, popping to the shop, putting laundry on, drinking coffee and eating toast.

Watching various music clips - mainly Depeche Mode! - on DVD, eating bacon sandwiches, chatting to friends, waving them off, nursing a red wine/beer hangover

I have been to specsavers to pic some new specs and got some fancy purple ones. Then done all the housework and now having a nice cuppa tea :)

rearranging various yoga props according to a note left by the studio manager only to have the manager email me and tell me to put them all back

Post half term house clean...

When the children leave home I am so going to go round their houses and tramp mud through and leave as much mess around as possible. Oh, and leave all their lights on as I go out the door.
