though I failed a bit today - I checked on the relish that I made yesterday and it's gone wrong

but I forgot to use olive oil as well as butter for softening the onions. and now it looks like it's got hard bits of butter on the top
I'm guessing that's what's caused it anyway.

Well, still not found although house is much tidier *looks on bright side* so he has an appointment at the Passport Office at 9.30 in the morning, we are having to take along with us someone to sign his application form and photo, fingers crossed all will be well

i have been feeling a bit ill and trying to work out if i can survive on what we've got in the house untill food delivery comes tmw, or if i should go shopping today and cancel tmws order, especially as its possibly going to make me late for work ( booked 12-2, then realised i'm in at 2 not 3 ) but its raining, its cold and going shopping means a half hour walk, getting a train, doing shopping then either train and walk, or taxi ( at least a £10 fare )
