A friend of Mrs Q went and queued for 14 hrs so including travelling times from the East Mids to London she was gone for 22hrs. She asked Mrs Q to go who refused which inspired me to start one of the many threads U75 have on it.
I know J in real life but am not friends with her on FB so I only saw her photos when Mrs Q showed them to me and they weren't very memorable or moving or historical in any way just a lot of people stood in a queue.
I caught the occasional report (not deliberately) on the news about it but mostly my exposure was via the many U75 threads about it.
 
I've stayed the fuck away from all mainstream media sources since the death of the Prime Parasite. I've very deliberately not turned on the TV even though I've been on a business trip. It's a fucking wasteland at the best of times, but I imagine it's been even worse with the death of the feudal remnant.
