Get a load of cats. I use wood pellets as cat litter, and I burn the old stuff in the stove. Cat shit burns surprisingly well. It's nice to see the little fuckers give something back.
No. The stove only acts to warm the room, and as a heater for the central heating. There's an oil-fired boiler outside the house and a cat shit fired boiler inside. Cat shit is probably more expensive than oil but I have it and have to dispose of it somewhere, so might as well get some heat from it.
They use dried cow pats to cook with in some parts of the world.

That is what is being advocated, though. Planting forests in order to burn the trees at a later date.You don't. They are grown for building materials, it's the surplus that gets burnt. So most of the carbon captured by the trees is sequestered in buildings.
