What kind of toolbox do you have?

I have one similar to this

My dad bought it for me a couple of years ago in an attempt to stop me "borrowing" his stuff, but that didn't really work :D

I have one like that but in green, and my dad hoped he could stop me using his tools also, but that hope was in vain. My tool box is not used so much these days since I stopped owning motorbikes but it sits in the hall at the foot of the stairs ready for action or ready to stub someone's toe on if they trot past in bare feet!

The few tools I have are in a kitchen drawer. Mainly screwdrivers, and a pair of pliers I think. I'm not the most practical of men, so no toolbox for me.

Rarely opened spare kitchen drawer for some, plastic bag on the floor near the (currently) little used bikes for others

<pub open too often for DIY-enthusiasm mode :D >

I have a couple of metal ones ( not cantilever) they go a bit rusty if kept in damp shed...

... but mostly I use a nice newish plastic one which was the only one I could find not made in israel (as stanley ones appeared to be, and that was about the time of rachael corries death).

My best tools don't get the rough and tumble of a box but live under the stairs on plastic trays thingies fixed to the wall.

That's one for the future in Casa Trux - They Live Under The Stairs.

I have two. A massive one for general tools and nails and stuff, and a small one for model painting bits and bobs and other nerdism. Unfortunately they are back in Ireland and I haven't touched them in years. I think in London no one in my household has a tool box. We have a poncey tool drawer where we save "good" plastic bags along with our meagre tools and ends of candles.

I have a biscuit tin for sewing tools, a round cake tin for jewellery making tools and a plastic box of car fixing tools. One day I will have a huge red Snap On arrangement that holds everything.

I have all sorts of DIY equipment, but due to poor organisational skills on my part, it is distributed over a wide area. Large storage cupboards and a spare room are supposed to be a good thing, but I couldn't tell you where any of my tools were right now.

I could really do with a toolbox - and a few months to actually find my tools!

Nearly took a pic of my work benches earlier :)

Got a Snap-On screwdriver I bought in 1989 & has been used every since

I think we should have a sub section to this thread about favourite tools.....

I loved my pullers ..

And was really chuffed with my chain splitter.
Very satisfying to use and quite cleverly demonstrated things like tolerances.

A chain splitter earlier :)
