Well that's my take on it as an amateur on a day to day basis mostly interested in the end result - while aiming to minimise the side-effects of poor "design" that only "needs" to get us as far as successfully reproducing...

Finding "meaning" in life is a whole different level of navel contemplation for those of us "ugly bags of mainly water" who have the luxury of the time to do so, and yet again, we still mostly have to get through the day without ending it steeped in gin or worse - whether due to our own angst, or knowing how much worse it is for millions of others - in the first instance we might focus on removing the monsters who manage to get themselves into positions of power...
