What coffee are you drinking just now?

Was delighted to see that Lidel was selling supremo coffee beans £ 3.99 for a 454g bag. So drinking that made with an aeropress - using the inverted method. With hot full fat milk and two sugars.
When the sugar runs out I'm going to attempt to totally give it up, which is bound to make me cut down on coffee, might even make me give it up. I'm going to try.

Lavazza is my usual 'at home' choice, and I make it with milk and nutmeg. At work they buy Bewleys for the machine. When I have time I buy posh coffee for about €9 from Fallon & Byrne. Ethiopian seems to be a good choice, not too bitter. When in Brixton, I buy Blue Mountain Jamaican freshly ground stuff, which some find bitter but i like it.

Some bastard has swiped about £5 of Red Brick from my "coffee bag" in our staff common room.

Total bastard!

As a result, I've just spent 1.5 days on the dregs of bags from last July (before finally cracking and belting into town to pick up another bag of red brick.)

Having to stop the coffee as it seems to give me a fluttery heart. Not straight away, but if I drink it regularly I get skipped beats and it's unpleasant.

Someone gave me a bag of "Grumpy Mule" for xmas. The blurb hinted at the dread hand of the hipster being involved, but it's actually ace coffee. And I have finished it now.

I love grumpy mule coffee. Well, I love their honeyed one but they've stopped making it. So now I hate grumpy mule :(

I'm trying Monmouth coffees at the moment. I've got their honey processed and their pulp processed offerings on the go right now. The pulped one is amazingly rich and smooth. So fucking smooth.
Honeyed one is also good.

Clipper Latin American Decaf Fairtrade Organic Coffee.

At £4.20 it's definitely worth the 21p premium over Clipper Organic Decaffeinated Coffee, is also better than Kenco Millicano Caff Free which is 59p more , and better than Percol Fairtrade Decaf Colombia Freeze-Dried Instant Coffee which is 60p cheaper.

i think the making of your coffee really helps (in addition to your choice of beans....). Like everyone else, I dont have much time to whip milk and all that malarks but the addition of allspice, cream, nutmeg, etc really helps spice it up (espec if you cant afford expensive stuffs all the time....)

Trying out the whole Bulletproof coffee thing.
It's surprisingly moreish.
The first time I tried it, my thoughts went from, "this... is weird" to "buttery lip balm...hmmm" to "this...is...fantastic stuff"...and I've found myself missing it and its effects on days I didnt have time to make it.
However, I think I'll get my own ground coffee once this bag runs out...bit expensive.

The Has Bean Bolivian coffee (named Taypiplaya Neri's Lot) is a tad expensive but it's fucking gorgeous. It's super sweet with a zingy aftertaste (I'm not going to use chocolate and fucking fruits to describe a good espresso - like the way he does on his review).

Seriously good mind. I not bought from them for a while as the previous few orders were a bit wank.
Oh man, for £8 - this is some superior shit. Perfect shots.

Just had a cup of freshly ground Taylors- Cacao superior Colombia.
Earlier I had freshly ground Taylors- Praline especial Brazil.
With soft brown sugar, hot full fat milk and a touch of cream. made in an aeropress - The way I have coffee is one of my biggest vices.

This is the best coffee I have had for ages.

I discovered square mile do monthly 1kg red brick subscriptions for £25, so signed up for that.

So I expect that'll be literally all I drink for the next year or two.

I don't really trust any mainstream / artisan roasters except Square. I've tried many others; they're either far more expensive (is it The Assembly? I think it is). Or fucking dire, or insensitively roast (ie too dark / bitter for my liking. The Barn, I'm looking at you. (And hasbean, if I'm honest. Stopped really enjoying Steve's beans a year or three back.))

I hate to imagine what that would do to my guts. Strong coffee is bad enough without dumping loads of fat in there.

I've recently bought a cheap cafetiere. I've found I'm drinking more coffee then using the stove top thing as it's easier.

Even the cheap Aldi coffee tastes better then the best instant. :)

Yep.
If you put too much fat in it it definitely clears you out :D

You start with only a teaspoon of oil and same of ghee. I've been blitzing mine which makes it frothy and nicer.
But the first time I had it I put a tablespoon of mct oil and the same of ghee....and I did feel nauseous for a while... ended up eating a cracker which immediately killed the nausea.

I only do bulletproof coffee on the weekends now. I find that it gives my metabolism a kick and it's enough to do that twice a week..

I've been doing cold brew during the hot weather in a cafetiere, putting it on the night before. Love it. It does seem to really extract the caffeine though so I've been watering it down with some decaff so as not to give myself the jitters.

I've just been to Wogans and met and chatted to Mr Wogan himself- I did not realise who he was - it slowly dawned on me. He asked me if I'd been before and I replied that I had years ago but not rated it! :D:facepalm:
Anyways I said ' I'm back to try again'
They have definitely come on! and he made me a cup of coffee ( he is wired to fuck) :D
I bought beans- some limu gera farm ( Ethiopian) some Yirgacheffe ( Ethiopian) and some Mandolins dark (dunno where from)
I asked about tours and he said just to ring up. It's free and you get to roast beans and make a latte!!! So cool! :D
