What are U Wearing 2-day?

Ooh yeah, they're nice. I've got stupid amounts of boots too but I'm hankering for a pair that I could get away with wearing at work. I've got some Timberlands that look OK with work trousers but they've been battered about on the coast path a bit much for work now.

raw Oki-Ni X Duffer X Cone Mills collab with double felled inseam and dark copper cinch hardware and copper coated iron rivets
pink SDA teeshirt with flying pig US Navy graphic print
vintage Bluebell jacket
red suede Converse
green glasses and a squirt of unisex Jo Malone fragrance: lime, basil & mandarin

ok so originally blue tracky and hoody but as I went out and the heavens opened on me while walking the dog it required a whole outfit change including pants *shakes fist at the sky* and I have ended up in a pea green summer dress (its still quite warm here), a grey cardi and grey bumpers.

Black merino thermal top (first time this year)
Navy T shirt
Navy Wool jumper
Black double-fronted Carharrt jeans
Black Solovair boots
Black Berghaus fleece gillet
blue fleece hat
navy and cream scarf

outer layer now removed and muddy kneed jeans replaced with black trackie bottoms

Black merino dress
Grey merino tights
Black Chelsea boots
Pink and green scarf

Didn't wear a coat on the school run and regretted it.

Eta: have added Aran Cardigan and thermal socks (and sandwich crumbs) for sitting and reading. Could get under the duvet or turn on the radiator, but then I'd fall asleep and this dissertation would never get written!

Just read that back and I've got the opening verse to 'Sweet Gene Vincent' by Ian Dury stuck in my head.

merino base layer

black merino midlayer
OG Real McCoys M65 with enamel poppy

a red and black dress that looks like I'm wearing seperates. A chiffony top with red with black dots which overlays a black jersey dress.
Also - flower patterned black tights and high heeled court shoes and my trusty black cardy that I wear with everything!!

Hairspray didn't work for me either. Another tip I heard, but haven't tried, is rubbing a dryer sheet over the inside of your clothes.

Sorry to revisit this conversation, but do you use fabric softener? I don't because it makes my skin flake off, and I was thinking maybe this is the cause of my static woes. :hmm: Anyway, I am trialing a new tactic. It's quite laborious but after every layer of synthetic clothing I put on, I put some body lotion on my hands and run them lightly over the garment. I wouldn't recommend doing it with anything expensive but it doesn't seem to stain, it just sinks into my clothes and seems to stop the static. It smells much nicer than hairspray anyway.

Today I am wearing:

Boyfriend jeans
Black Wal-mart rip-off heattech top ( called Warmtech and half the price of Uniqlo's  )
Black and cream striped jumper with gold flecks in the cream bits
Knitted pink socks
Fake DMs
Very old knee-length puffa jacket thing when I go outside. Too cold to go without a proper coat now, but too warm for my proper down coat.
Houndstooth scarf

I try to use softener but often forget. I bought it mainly because of static but it didn't make a huge difference. I have sensitive skin so only buy underfunded stuff like comfort or fairy. I also hang my dresses out which is meant to help. There's quite a few things I don't bother wearing now because they end up stuck to my arse. :D

There's a particular fabric softener with a citrus smell that every eBay seller seems to use and I hate it. It takes a few washes to get the smell out of anything I buy.

A black knee length dress, black tights and heels. Got my first date as Stella tonight. :)

Edit: date's off! Bastard!!!
