Oats are supposed to be better for ya than wheat....but i luuuuuuurve weetabix! Not tried the oat one, don't think I wanna....

oatibix is the devil's knob cheese.

go to 'thread tools' at the top to add a poll.

In a bowl?

in the same bowl, yes - i blame my dad, when were kids he had to look after us for a week when mum was in hospital, he couldn't be arsed making tea and hot milk for the weetabix, so just made the tea and poured it over the weetabix, and i was hooked, can't have it any other way

Oatibix is disgusting. I thought it would be great, as I love weetabix, and the idea of getting something that's good for the cholesterol etc would be fabbo. But no, made of fail.

Weetabix, however ... it's the only cereal I've loved in my whole 29 years and 10 months. Yum yum yum.

Weetabix is vile stuff. It's kind of tasty dry with chocolate spread on it, but in milk it goes utterly soggy and rank far too quickly :pukey: And don't get me started on the abomination that is hot milk-accelerated degradation of them
I've never had oatibix, but I'd be impressed if I disliked them anywhere near as much as weetabix.

weetabix with hot milk is one of the most repulsive smells from my childhood. A girl i used to get a lift to school with used to have it every morning when i was round her house, and it used to make me want to heave.

What kind of sick fuck would ruin perfectly good weetabix by putting hot milk on it?

Sometimes I despair of the human race :(

Oatabix *should* be like the best bits of porridge and weetabix together in one glorious cereal, but instead they're hideous.

Weetabix, just for the record, should be placed in the bowl so one bix rests diagonally atop the other bix, then covered in very cold milk to the point that the bottom bix is saturated in milk. Then add more milk so there is a decent amount of milk that has not been absorbed by weetabix. The tip of the top bix should at this point still be protruding over the top of the milk. At this point, the top bix should be mushed into the lower bix and eaten immediately, so that the top bix retains some crunchiness mixed into the sloppiness of the lower bix.

Not that I'm anal about it or anthing.

Mini oatibix as part of a lethal cocktail also comprising cornflakes and bite size shredded wheat (or whatever else i have in the cupboard) - for the WIN!

I think you'll find the correct way to eat Weetabix is to lay them in the bowl side by side, then sprinkle with sugar and fill the bowl to nearly the top of the 'bix with cold milk. Then let sit for no more than 45 seconds. Proceed to drain off all the milk but by bit with your spoon, marvelling in the glorious wheaty/sugary milk as you lap it up spoonful by spoonful. By the time you get to the last of the milk the weetabix will be at just the right consistency that most of it is a glorious mush, with some crunchy bits remaining. Mix it all together then eat it slowly and lovingly.

And then WASH THE BOWL IMMEDIATELY.
If you leave crusted-up weetabix bowls hanging around the house, I WILL KILL YOU WITH PAIN.

I agree with those who have said that Oatabix or is it Oatibix should have been wonderful, if you are a person who likes Weetabix and also porridge or oat cakes. However they are a real disappointment. They lack the necessary crispness and there is no real oaty taste. Back to the drawing board I say. It must be possible to improve on the product.
