I'm looking for a recipe for "white chili" that someone here enjoyed and was easy to make.

By white, I mean no meat or tomatos. We have pre-packaged spice packages here, but I'm looking for something "homemade", but easy. Thank you...

Envious. My pepper plants (can't even remember what they are) are just flowering. Not much chance of a crop before it gets too cold.
Fingers crossed.

We were thinking it's too late for our CH as they are only at this stage,

I would really love to see them change to their natural colour - see Whagwan post from a few years ago, beautiful looking Chilli.

Are chillies meant to fruit late? Mine always have. I'm often still picking them into December. On gardener's world Monty's are red in August.

Anyway, I tried growing Long Thai, Cayenne, and Diavolo this year and specifically not the Orange Habeneros from last year which were so hot they rendered everything containing some inedible. The Long Thai are doing well and the bulk of my haul will be them. Sadly my Cayenne and Diavolo have failed, but annoyingly 4 plants are Orange Habeneros. I'm not sure how. I'll probably send them to my friend who seems to enjoy the pain.

I didn't have any luck with growing indoor windowsill chillies this year, but I am living vicariously through this thread!
Great to see everyone's chilli crop!

Cultural appropriation. :(

This year's haul. Not bad! :) A scotch bonnet I tried a week ago was disappointingly lacking in heat, but the orange habaneros have a decent kick. Not sure what the red long chillis or the choc habs are like.

. Going to whack pretty much the whole lot into a ferment and see what happens  :D

Just tried a choc hab. Flesh near the middle almost heatless. Flesh by the stalk? hot!! Tried a red long chilli too but couldn't detect anything after the choc hab 🥵

A question for the growers on here.

Back in May I bought a plant by the name of 'Basket Of Fire', it produced around fifteen fruits which have been picked and used in various dishes. I thought that would be the end of it but it carried on producing flowers and now in the middle of December three fruits are now growing (One you can see in the picture is slowly turning orange / red)

Is this normal for a plant to carry on producing through winter?

Went to the Ideal Home exhibition on Wednesday (it was rubbish btw) and picked up these fantastic chilli sauces:

Crazy Bastard Sauces.

Fantastic heat and flavours especially from the Carolina Reaper & Blueberry/Trinidad Scorpion & Clementine varieties.

:)

They look great.

Carolina Reaper and blueberry isn’t a combination that would have sprung to my mind unaided.

You can really taste the fruit, then the heat hits.

Well worth giving these a go. :)

None of my plants have germinated yet. :(
