Thread about spiders (not for the arachnophobic!)

Went into the kitchen last night, around 11, and there were dozens of tiny little spiders crawling around. At first I saw a couple on the counter top, then a couple more... then some on the cupboards. Then I asked husband to come and check it. We started looking around, there were so many, also on the ceiling, and near where the air brick is (probably where their nest is) Some were dangling... :D We decided to just leave them and go to sleep. We thought maybe this happens every year at this time of year and this is the first time we saw it. This morning most of them were gone, but there were still 20-30 of them hanging around. So this year was different for sure!

There they are...

I witnessed an egg sac open once and there was hundreds of SAS teeny spiders absailing onto my windowsill. Fantastic sight.

Have you checked your bed recently moochedit?

The reason a spider may find itself in your bed may vary; however, as stated earlier, spiders are constantly on the lookout for warm and enclosed areas to make their home or hibernate during cold months. Beds are ideal locations for spiders, as these structures offer a warm space, and between the sheets, little light gets through, thus offering an ideal home for these eight-legged arachnids.

This is a nice looking spider.
