Aww - that is so sweet. I've always loved picking up spiders and putting them on my hands/arms to let them wander, but sadly I've never encountered one that could jump like that.

Don't be afraid petee - you could train the spider to pass you things like the remote control. All those legs would come in useful. I guess even moochedit might be happier with spiders if they were big and cuddly like the one on the settee.

This beauty has been living in the lean to in amongst the aubergine which failed to make any aubergines (unless said spider ate them?)


It stays curled up in an old leaf during the day and comes out and sits in its web in the evening.

It's going to get a bit Charlotte's Web soon too cold for these sort of spiders I think?

Typically, I go to get a decent photo of Minni mk.2, and she retreats out of view.
I'm fairly certain she's a segestria bavarica rather than the florentina who used to live in the bathroom.
I hope the cave spiders didn't get her

OK attempt 1.
I have a radar-switched lamp in my stairwell which brings her out a bit when it switches on, but I can see I'll need an actual food item to tempt her fully out ... recently I left some fruit and veg peelings nearby so she got the benefit of fruit flies, but it's too cold for them now ...

That's my spider. Apparently they chew their prey rather than drinking liquified prey soup and have teeth
