Although the original - and best - Level Crossing News has been dormant since 2010, I'm pleased to share with you the UK Level Crossings YouTube Channel.

And here's their hour long compilation for 2022. You'll soon be singing along to the sound of the crossing hazard sounds!

I was staying near a Level Crossing close to Worthing Station at the weekend. I had to wait twice in my car, and once when walking. No pictures , I should have taken one

A few weeks back I went with my eldest son to watch the weekly train pass over a crossing near us, and the South East Crossings YouTube guy was there filming it. My son loves watching those videos too.

The crossing actually malfunctioned and the gates didn’t go back up, leaving us all stranded for 45 minutes until NR came out and sorted it out - the road goes into an industrial area with no other exit so there was quite a queue. I directed a few cyclists and pedestrians to a little-known foot crossing a few hundred metres up the line.

Fascinating(ish) fact from our conversation - there are only five level crossings in the Bristol area.
