I thought it was the best ever because it wasn’t confined to a stadium and didn’t finish with the endless parade of competitors.
Maybe it is only me, but I thought Celine Dion was miming.
Also the statues of famous French women didn’t include Émilie du Châtelet which I thought was an omission.
I liked the music for deaf people when the flexible dancer with the baggy suit came on.
Well done to the French creative thinkers overall.
