The Offical Euro 2012 Hooliganism thread

Am I right in thinking they dont have segregation in this tournament? Things could get very nasty tonight if thats true. :(
From what I can tell, it is largely segregated. Teams get allocated tickets and many fans will get their tickets either through their association or via uefa who will ensure they get tickets in their area. Obviously there will be some tickets for neutral areas and some fans will get tickets for these areas through corporations/touts etc, so not all areas wil be segregated.

Your arse would be well twitching if you were a steward at that game tonight. I expect there's been a few sickies thrown :hmm:

I wonder given the fact that the Russians are already under investigation for the attacks of stewards and claims of racial abuse of Czech defender Theodor Gebre Selassie if Uefa would have the balls to kick them out of the torno if it goes tits up tonight?

In fairness to Russia, the clips I've seen of the fighting so far show the Poles to be just as guilty as the Russian hoolies...

Yup wasn't suggesting otherwise mucker in fact the polish gangs would of been well organised or this.
But you know what these political types are like when they want to be seen to be getting tough.

56 arrests so far according to Dan Roan at the BBC on twitter.

His account is worth a look, on phone so can't link but quite a few pics and on the spot reports.

Yeah, was going to post something similar.

Officially, after the games have been announced and people know who is playing who at which stadium, you can only get tickets through your own equiv of the FA. English supporters, for example, have to be a member of 'englandfans' or whatever they are calling themselves these days. You get kicked out if they discover that you have any football or violence related (e.g. Criminal damage) offences on your record. Fuck knows how they organise it in different countries, but this is why you generally see an 'end' or large section of similar supporters together.

Before the games are announced you can generally buy tickets as a neutral, for example Team A against Team B in Group A on a specific date In Warsaw. Bit of a lottery and then these tickets often end up in the hands of the supporters of whichever of the two teams that are playing are prepared to pay more for them on the black market. This is why England games always used to look like we had between 3/4 and 7/8ths of the ground, depending on who we were playing.

Waffa bottle it then

Euro 2012: Russia punished for fans' behaviour
Russia have been given a suspended six-point deduction by Uefa because of the behaviour of their fans during their 4-1 win against Czech Republic.
Action was taken due to the use of fireworks and far-right banners.
An incident in which fans attacked stewards, leaving four needing hospital treatment, is being investigated by Uefa and police.
The penalty will apply to the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and also includes a fine of £96,000 (120,000 euros).
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his concern over the violence to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and believes the hosts should take more responsibility.

To be honest the polish hools seem to be taking the piss attacking normal fans saying that the Russians seemed to defend themselves well.

So all the teams who are likely to kick off/be racist/ act like cunts have been knocked out. Poland, Ukraine and Russia. :D:D:D

Without mass support?

The Russians may have gone home but the Ukrainians and Poles are still there!
