I've got a rather embarrassing story featuring Adam X.

I was at Stinky's Peephouse in Leeds on NYE about 8 years ago with a mate. We'd traveled down from from the North East and couldn't get any drugs before hand. We planned to get some in there but failed, so then proceeded to get absolutely smashed on alcohol.

We were in the upstairs rooms where Adam X was playing and the room has a cut away section of the floor with a railing around it where you can see the room below you. I'm dancing at the front with my mate and we're both not really into it. I asked my mate if he reckoned he was this shit on purpose or he couldn't help it. My mate suggested I ask him. So being the drunken wanker that I was, I typed a text message on my phone saying, "are you this shit on purpose?" and leaned over the gap in the floor to show it to him (the gap separated the dance floor from the DJ box).

It took him a few seconds to read what it said and then, unsurprisingly, he went mental. He grabbed my wrist and was shouting something at me. Then he tried to take the phone from my hand and he looked as if he was going to throw it down the gap into the room below. I wrestled free as best I could and we retreated to the back of the room which was raised above the dance floor's level. We then jumped up and down flicking the Vs at him until a bouncer came and threatened to kick us out.

We went downstairs to watch Aux88 in shame. The worst ever behavior from me in a club.

I later found out he's actually pretty good.

Keep away from beer, kids.
