My housemate is in biomes 'circles' and this is the sound their pushing lately through their resepective labels etc. Most of them are from dubstep backgrounds and play quite a lot of minimal dubstep etc.

Oh yeah that last track is great. Before that I was thinking 'this is pretty good but it's definitely dubstep' but that last one has a real techno feel.

That tune's amazing, but I'd struggle to call it techno, even in a noodly-Detroit way. I do see the similarity with C2, though.

Similar to his stuff as Detroit Experiment or with Tribe or Innerzone Orchestra. I'd struggle to call any of them techno as well.
