The Western Left pretty much assumes that position of actual leftism being something on an equal level with Stalin, Mao, Juche, etc. But what can you really do when the
CIA influences people's minds into thinking that leftism is when "American liberal values" and anything against American liberalism is "reactionary NazBol Juche-Stalinist-Trumpist ideology". The CIA might have been partially involved in strengthening the liberal leftism of the "New Left" in order to discourage actual socialism and communism from spreading into the USA and instead prevent any form of "class consciousness" by making people dismiss it as "bigoted, fascist, anti-human rights, etc.".
Besides the partial-backing from CIA, we see how prominent Western Leftists in 20th and 21st century, say for only a few exceptional (Marx, Engels, Castro, Guevara) have been establishing this pro-imperialist narrative while claiming to fight for social justice and there is a list of plentiful.
- Herbert Marcuse (member of the pseudo-Marxist "Frankfurt Academia" which dismisses class struggle in favor of "sexual liberation", father of the New Left)
- Noam Chomsky (anarchist who profoundly denied the genocide in Srebrenica "because it did not fill the criteria")
- Judith Butler (infamous female bourgeois idealist who pioneered the "queer theory")
- Michel Foucault (French postmodernist and anti-Marxist)
- Eduard Bernstein (Member of SPD, profound 19th-century revisionist who rejected revolutionary aspect of Marxism and favored reformism)
