restrictions on women obtaining credit were incredibily common up until the 1960s / 1970s and asa standard current account . 'checking accouint' at the time featured credit facilities ( overdraft etc )...

Equal pay act was 1970 , the Sex Discrimination Act was 1975

Military integration wasn't until the 1990s ( and iin some cases even when roles were integrated your sex determined which cap badge you wore ) , SDA 1975 didn't touch the Mines act 1842 or Mines and Quarries act 1954 ( Employment Act 1989 removed the restrictiosn on women working underground in mining, quarriying and tunneling )
