I actually think they're sincere but misguided. Unlike the occasional actual trolls we attract, I think this poster genuinely believes what they're posting. I just think they've got the wrong attitude for a UK site. They just need to be less doctrinary and more ... umm .. not bothered by doctrine?

I don't know. But I personally haven't got this one down as a troll. More as someone who hasn't encountered the weird UK Left before.

I don't like to make this assumption without at least meeting someone personally, but it's obviously possible. I do think it's clear English isn't their first language (though I'm not certain their arguments would make any more sense in Serbian or Croatian...)

Their version of Lefty Politics seems to come from about 1974 - however the apparent argument of this thread, that it'd be a good idea for the Left to offer (not only but also) young men some meaning and political purpose to mitigate / slow / prevent / reverse their increasing attraction to far-right loonspheres and the 'solutions to your problems' on offer there, is one that does IMO need to be taken seriously.

I'm not sure that's going to happen here for a while, but by about page 50 it might be within sight
