Dublin South Central – Count 14 - 3 seats left and 4 candidates
Galway West – Count 11 - 3 seats left and 5 candidates
Kerry – Count 12 - 2 seats left and 3 candidates
Kildare North – Count 8 - 4 seats left and 7 candidates

Will be very interesting to see how this plays out now.. I cant see SF in government, i feel FF and FG will make their deals with some smaller parties.

Green Party will be very disappointed.. grass roots support evaporated.

Why do you think that was?
I think their policies are perceived in a negative light in rural/farming circles and the party is generally portryed in the media as fringe or 'loony' .
The Green Party lost heavily in the council elections earlier in the year, so public perception was already sliding.
Its also not unusual for the weaker party in a coalition government to poll badly in the next election.. similar slump for Labour after their recent stint in power.
