I thought the same thing. Great Danes are friendly, loveable dogs.
I love them right back; but they are beyond my abilities as a doq owner. I have a 9 pound chi-poo.

My dog previous to my AmStaff was Great Dane X Rhodesian Ridgeback. I had to use carrier bags for her... offerings.

When I have won the lottery and have my mansion and am not working and all that stuff, a great Dane is the first dog on my list.

I fell in love with one on my Saturday job as a teenager in a pet shop. The owners came in asking whether we had any kittens because their cat had died a couple of weeks before and the dog was pining.

We did have three kittens and so we got them out and the owners were looking at them but then said it was up to the dog to decide.

So we put the kittens on top of the deep freezer and the dog was at eye level with them and they all did sniffing and snuffling. After a couple of minutes the dog was only paying attention to the one kitten and they were like, well that's the one then.

He was a gorgeous blue and I want one. When I have a house big enough.

I once had a rabbit that was hard as nails, harder than a Labrador ..

It was once out on the lawn with its babies and a Labrador came running excitedly onto the grass, bounding over to the collection of rabbits at which point my rabbit leapt at the dog and scratched him right across the nose. The dog yelped and ran off.

Ugh my boy is still poorly and off his front right leg. It’s worrying me now. His pads are red raw from his worrying them or some kind of infection? I’m away and left the cone of shame at home. Back to the vets next week.

I couldn’t decide whether to put this here, birdwatching, or mildly vexed.
There had been some swallow action in the leaky shed which I was very pleased to see as they haven’t nested here for a few years. Mungo was cornering baby rabbits behind all the crap that’s been stored in there and then barking at them when he couldn’t reach them with that ‘my ball’s stuck under the sofa’ high sharp bark for a few days lat week. I’d thought I’d figured out how to prevent him getting in there, so as not to disturb them. He now can’t get in, but I just realised they’re no longer in there.
