I would guess that the performers were asked to do it for nothing, no?
anyway, I'd rather have The Who.
They were paid a token £1 for appearing

That sounds right. I don't see how they could pay anyone, tbh. They were paid a token £1 for appearing
The only bit I managed to read was the Samuel Johnson quote "When a man is tired of London"
Someone said there were Shakespeare quotes as well
Some Shelley was in there. I was looking really hard, trying to take my mind off the rest of the mess. The only bit I managed to read was the Samuel Johnson quote "When a man is tired of London"

Um Britain... fish and chips?
Let the rioting begin, we've only got a week before the football.
anyway, I'd rather have The Who.
I liked - is it Timothy Spall - as Churchill
When is the rioting due to start this year?
You do know the Samuel Johnson quote don't you?

Lexicographer and a tory but I don't know that quote, no
Oh, and before I forget - I hate Russell bloody Brand !!!
Well they did seem pretty desperate for acts, it appears. So in return for doing it for a quid, he asked to perform his latest number as a promotion. And the organisers agreed because they were clearly desperate to fill a hole after Chas and Dave (not that Dave) pulled out.I didn't know George Micheal's second number, I don't think it is the right stage to do unkown material.
And some Dylan ThomasSome Shelley was in there. I was looking really hard, trying to take my mind off the rest of the mess.
Sky At Night on beeb now all is well
Suppose it's more known by Londoners
When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life, for there is in London all that life can afford
Norwegian Wood is on now!
Patrick Moore is just about hanging on in there. No former rock stars or black women with dreads are going to take over his show!

Well the very best would be just one games all muddled in together but I guess the atheletes village would have to be twice as big so perhaps that is the reason they don't do that. This totally.
It's really exclusive and demeaning to the para Olympic athletes
