The Closing Ceremony

Yeah, the person who came up with the singing acts must be of a certain age. Don't reckon the younger generation would really know the Who.

Anyone of any age whom knows anything about music will know whom the Who are. Of course those more preoccupied with wannabees fly by night mime artists will be at a loss.Fuck em.

tiny tempah and whatshisface..... but yes, I thought eric idle should have existed stage left sharpish and given them some respect.
I was hoping he would look puzzled, but then join in and be great at it, and they'd all do a huge number together. But no, he just waved his arms around like a man who'd never seen brown people before. :(

what I want to know is why the rolling stones never get asked to play at these things.

or did they knock them back after looking at the rest of the lineup?

You didn't feel that? It was all set up for him to start getting into the moves, then they'd all be doing it together. But he didn't. I found that really odd.

Not really to be honest, I just thought it was a comic comicing around with people who happened to be Indian.

Anyway it's not as though he ever wrote and sang a song that patronised the Chinese :hmm:

I reckon they'd have done it for the publicity / kudos.

They probably would have needed a couple of years notice though if they're on tour or something, as once their schedule's set they can't exactly cancel another gig to do it.
