I'm sitting here, thumb up bum, mind in neutral, wondering why I feel so bloody low. I'm off to Amsterdam in a week with my mate (yep, that time already.), so should be buzzing.

I think that it is due to a sense of absolute impotence. No matter which fuckwit finally forms a government, there is nothing much between them in terms of policy.

The old saw, 'Shit today, jam tomorrow' has morphed into 'Shit today, deeper shit tomorrow'.

I can honestly say that I am glad I'm not 21 any more, this is a harder and more cynical world than it was in 1973.

I was 8, Jon Pertwee was the Doctor, Star Trek was being rerun, I was listening to See My Baby Jive by Wizzard over and over, and the three day week was in force.

I never did get a Raleigh Chopper though.
