Sunburnt people = divs

Also, you should keep reapplying sunscreen often, when we were on the beach, I was slapping the sunscreen on every 1/2 hour, to keep the little one from burning.

When I used to work at a dance school, teaching, my boss said to the parents of one of the children after they'd been on holiday, "ooh she hasn't got much of a tan has she?". She was three.

Div.

Last year I went for a walk along the south coast on a May afternoon. The combination of sun and reflection of sun off water was a lethal one. I looked like Professor Plum for several days afterwards.

Total div!

Babies aren't meant to be in the strong afternoon sun, toddlers and children should avoid it too and cover up with a t-shirt and strong sunscreen.

have you not worked out that it's entirely possible to find yourself out in the sun without having expected to be? or for the weather to be much hotter than you expected? that sort of thing...
Of course - I'm willing to make an exception for people who do this.
Still, shouldn't go out in the sun without protection

Factor schmactor.

Anyone who uses sunscreen is a fucking wimp. I've never used it in my life and I can't remember the last time I got sunburnt. :p

I'd never used it in my life and never got burnt either until I got marooned on a deserted Malaysian beach for 3 hours with no shade :D

I don't tend to go out in the sun as I just wilt in the heat. I wear moisturiser with SPF15 all year round and factor 30 when I go out during the summer (but I tend to spend the hottest part of the day indoors). I have a lot of moles on my body and I'm fair skinned anyway, so I don't want to get even the slightest bit burnt.

Besides, everybody knows that the sun is incredibly aging on the skin and I don't want to look like a shrivelled old prune in 20-30 years time.

Damn, I'm so sensible it hurts sometimes :D

Can't you carry some sunscreen in a pocket with you?

Or even more easy - do you really actually have to sit in the blinding sun for hours? Even if you're at an event or whatever....Even if I want to continue lying in the sun half asleep I go into the shade.

Oh gosh, I forgot ur taking ro-accutane zenie!!! You can seriously damage ur skin mate.

FULL factor protection next time!!!!

Tanning ain't worth it.
Shade, shade, more shade and stay out of the midday sun. Failing that, trweel on the cream. Never mind the skin cancer, it's the sun that makes your skin sag and wrinkle.

When I got burnt, there was no shade

and to be fair, there's only so many trees in a park that people can sit under.

I suggest emptying a smaller container and pouring some sunscreen into that and carrying it around, at least it's not as heavy and bulky

Oh, and for those who haven't bought any lotions yet, loads of shops (ie. Superdrug, Boots, M&S) are selling two-for-one products so you can buy your sunscreen + moisturiser etc. so there's no excuse

Are you sunburnt? :)

Haven't you heard of sunblock/lotion? Haven't you worked out that when the sun is hot, it can burn the skin?
Oh fuck off

:)p )

40 minutes, MAX, that's all it was....probably only 20-30 mins in all...a cuppa and a spliff, and I got fucking BURNED  Blistered arms and a fetching v-neck :(

I used to get sunburnt a lot when I was younger, back in Brazil, what an idiot I was! I often found myself peeling my skin off after a 'heavy' weekend by the pool/sea... (it was quite enjoyable though - peeling my skin off)

Nowadays I hardly sunbathe anymore and tend to use at least SPF 15, but more likely 30 if I'm going to be walking out and about and the sun is very hot... Too much sun actually makes me feel horrible, I've been in England for too long!

Suntan lotion is very expensive in England though!
