Sunburnt people = divs

I have already been defending my sunstroke on the sunburn thread:mad:
I was at a festival, there was no shade at all, i wore a cardie over my shoulders, the shops had sold out of strong factor sunblock but I borrowed some. I tried to stay out of the worst of the sun.
I have sunstroke:mad: I am not a div:mad: :p (and it got me a sicky:) )

Every fucking year a friend of mine gets sunburnt. I swear she actually enjoys it

until I slap her on the back. :D

Serves her right. There's televisions, radios and newspapers that let you know what the weather's going to be like. It's not like she didn't receive any notice

You can't have applied it properly then - let me show you how ;)

Or maybe you need a higher factor - I personally wouldn't use less than 30 - I used 35 at the weekend

I was wearing factor 20 FFS!!
People mocked me for slapping on factor 30 down Metapontins way. They not laughing at me now though.

Well they probably are, just not about being sunburnt.

I always use factor 40 on me kid and my other half- I have kiddie fingerprints on my arm where the little one grabbed hold of me- and I got sunburnt everywhere but there.

My dad uses factor 6. He might as well use milk. Bloody pisses me off it does. If you try and mention what the sun does to your skin though, he goes off on one. He is a bit of a div I think.

Dont be hating my brownness when you see me orang :p

Judging by your pictures earlier, it would seem you're very fair-skinned.

Get a higher factor :p

PS: I'm using Factor 40 and I don't really need it as I don't burn (well I burnt once in Malaysia), but the fact is, tanning is damaging your skin anyway....

Luckily I've got an all-year-round tan :p

Mm I don’t usually burn but I'm on medication and it seems to be doing all kinds of weird and wonderfuls to me - including the sunburn thing!

I'm still giggling. "Where did you get that hat" etc.:p ;)

Factor schmactor.

Anyone who uses sunscreen is a fucking wimp. I've never used it in my life and I can't remember the last time I got sunburnt. :p

i have just dropped some boiling supernoodles onto my burnt chest and now have the unclassiest supernoodle shaped burn ever:(
Bet this never happens to Liz Hurley

Are you sunburnt? :)

Haven't you heard of sunblock/lotion? Haven't you worked out that when the sun is hot, it can burn the skin?:p

have you not worked out that it's entirely possible to find yourself out in the sun without having expected to be? or for the weather to be much hotter than you expected? that sort of thing...

To be fair it's not that strong (i.e. you can still burn with SPF 20) and you're taking roaccutane aren't you? That means you have to be doubly careful!

Lesson has been learnt!! :D

Only for the lightweights who went to bed in the mornings.

At that time of the year, the best weather is almost always from dawn to 1 or 2pm.

Also, you should keep reapplying sunscreen often, when we were on the beach, I was slapping the sunscreen on every 1/2 hour, to keep the little one from burning.

Yeah but if I did I would stay in the sun for a bit and then go in some shade for a while. I know I'm pale and freckled, I know I burn easily, therefore I know that I can't stay there all day.

Also, I often look at my skin when in the sun for any redness. I reckon I'm just more aware of myself in the sun cos burning worries me.
