Sporty little car

If I were still in the market for a little sports car, this would be hard to resist
There's a four page thread on Pistonheads about this one. The adverts fails to mention it's a Cat C write off too.
Bargain basement Chimaera if you have a garage and can work on it yourself ( as you will need to do no doubt), but nothing comes close to the analogue feeling of these when they're up and running.

Mine's due back from a specialist in Stansted soon, haven't driven it since the first lockdown, and this was the last time I saw it in December:

BTW dessiato very proudly loads of pics of my Bella up thread
I'm still trying to keep it on the table. Better price, worse, tatty looking body, not sure about colour scheme or water mark, but, it's a 3.2 and serviced and sold by a reputable group

Ok. So now the race is on to see which comes first. Him or me putting it in a ditch or it being eaten by rust.

£2k and £530 insurance with young mister A319 being 21 with no NCB…

Let’s see if it’s a lemon on a bit of summer fun.
I hope you and A319 are having as much fun with yours as I am with mine. Mine is currently in for first service and MOT at the mo having just had new rubber all round. 😮

Boxsters and 3.4 996 are good value if you get a good one. Most of that age will have potential mechanical issues like RMS and IMS sorted and will be good for another 100k

Reckon I'm going to put mine up for sale in the next few weeks.
Just don't use it enough, the ULEZ £12.50 is a real sod and it just cooks you alive in this sort of weather. :(

Fell in love with a restored Austin Healey Sprite on Car and Classic which if it's still around once the TVR goes...:D

To be fair you can't really use it on the road, the acceleration in 3rd, 4th and 5th is crazy if you go any further than 3.5k rpm. All of a sudden you are just flying at jet speed with an insane noise going on.

Mrs.Griff always starts to scream a bit, clutching at the door handles.

To be honest, I'm really enjoying just bimbling around in the Volvo Amazon now. :)

Sporty cars under 10k. I wouldn't mind the TVR .https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-features/fast-for-163-10k-u-turn-special/46300

I've been finding myself looking at Triumph Stags for some reason lately.

They've never really had any appeal, but they do now.

Whether it's 'sporty' or not I guess is the topic of heated debate but what does the hive mind think of the nippier Minis ? I'm a-pondering one, do you own one and can you recommend them ?
