Sporty little car

Whether it's 'sporty' or not I guess is the topic of heated debate but what does the hive mind think of the nippier Minis ? I'm a-pondering one, do you own one and can you recommend them ?
Funnily enough I'm thinking of getting one too. I fancy a Clubman.

A friend who had a Cooper S said that tge Cooper he'd had was better. Because it was more comfortable.

Original coopers will cost! Who can forget this little beaut that Mathewsons sold for £18,000 ( in this condition ).
My Alfa is a tight fit to say the least but a mini is really a bit small for me.

Not sporty? Great little cars on the track ( likewise old baby Austin's) also great little rally cars

If you have an itch, you need to scratch it if you can.

you alfa a little bigger than a mini :)

well the early BMW minis now they are all bloody massive
She is certainly not as tall as any mini. She also has huge doors which need to be opened a long way to facilitate getting in and out. I guess unlike any mini the pedals are close together and also struggling big time for leg room while seated.

hmm you alfa

for a comparison and not my picture but kids and an adult for scale

my old R53 was Blue

the peddles and the leg room would be better in the alfa but guessing the clutch is not so heavy
first time in original new mini most people think the gear box is fooked due to the heavy clutch action

it close but the Alfa wins by being 3 inches shorter be guessing you got more leg room due to it being longer :)

I very much doubt it, but, do I care....🥰
PS the seat is virtually on the floor, steering wheel close to seat etc.
There is no where to put my clutch foot when not on the clutch either
Purely to illustrate the point

:p just cause you still have your alfa

my mini got killed by a gob shite :(

would be an interesting race both around 6,2 to 6.5 to 60 :p

Size is not everything ;)
It has the sweetest engine I have ever driven, happy up to 60+ in second and maybe 30 ish in 4th or maybe 5th.
I am very biased and very happy, I could go on....BTW she is a 3.2 :D
Need I go on

That's got the quirky looks of my GTV but performance and style don't match up. I wouldn't say no. I once owned a 128 3p custom and Mrs tag owns a modern 500.
A Fiat to go for is the Dino, but even that is out of my league.

My wife had an R56 Clubman and she liked it although it was dynamically moribund.

If you want that type of car then Civic Type-R or you're fucking up, surely.

drive many type r hondas

would still have a r53

have to drive one spiritly to understand

it a fucking go kart on steroids :D
