Used to buy a copy in WH Smiths occasionally. Not sure who I was trying to impress. And I had some books off that women's press with the black and white diagonal stripes on the spine whose name escapes me.

Thanks, just looked them up and had no idea they were Canadian. Will try and spot any titles I remember.

The only one I have is 'Javady Alley' by Manny Shirazi - an excellent novel about a little girl in Iran during the events of 1953.

It was a well-chosen present from my oldest friend back in the 80s.
