SNP call for an extra year of Tory rule

If Scotland does go independent and gets there share of the assets what should be done with the Scottish part of the Falklands? Give it to the argies for the lulz?

Can we give all of the Falklands to Scotland, given it's not unlike bits of Scotland anyway? Let them fight it out with the Argies, using their nuclear-powered subs and all that. That way the fucking tories won't be able to grandstand about it any more and they'll have to stick with making stupid squabbles over Gibraltar which nobody really gives a fuck about anyway.

It's not funny, it's boring. Oh ho ho you're all junkies. Well, yeah, we have some of the most deprived housing and highest unemployment in the UK after successive heavy industries were crushed by government policy, your point caller?

Somewhere in the independence white paper the SNP say that even after oil is discounted Scottish workers are still more productive than the rest of the UK.

The irish have got it nearly as bad (uk or not) so it's not like he's being a prick.

Its come to my attention that the residents of Corby will not be allowed to vote in the inependance vote. Corby. It's practically a caledonian colony. Everyone from that town has a muted/garbled glasgow accent, they sell square sausages in the supermarket. On days celebrating heritage they practically roll out the tartan fucking carpet. Speak to anybody north of 30 and they are working class scot by accent. How do they not get a vote when people living in other countries do? It doesn't make any sense.

The only people living in other countries who get a vote are serving members of the armed forces who are registered to vote in Scotland AFAIK. Otherwise it's a case of if you've chosen to live here (regardless of where you were born or grew up), you get a vote. If you don't live here, you don't. I think that's fair.

Diplomats and other Foreign Office workers too. Basically, if you're abroad at the behest of the State and are registered to vote in Scotland rather than abroad by choice you get to vote.

See here.
