should i bother with gavin & stacey?

You clearly haven't seen 30 Rock then. The single best comedy programme ever. Most people who've seen it would agree with me n' all. Do yourself a massive favour and download them all!

30 Rock won me over pretty damn quick. Watched Season 2 before Season 1 - but it made sense to me. Alec Baldwin is sheer genius.

Oh! Thought of one!

I can't watch working class people on tellyvision - I just don't get it viz: Shameless and The Royal Family

It's not called footyball either.
That post really has no purpose at all. Well done.

You know the worst thing about your posts here? Every time I open my fridge and see one of these, I think it's going to start moaning at me.

I watched the first series and enjoyed it as gentle comedy. It didn't grip me with a desire to never miss an episode though. Subsequently I missed lots of episodes.

I love the way she casually name drops famous past conquests... :D

:D

Was it for Children in need she sang a song with Tom Jones? "I won't lie to you Tom, you broke my heart".

Last night telling the 3 massive bouncers if there was any hassle to give her a shout. :D:D

i only mentioned it because filter was saying that fans of 30 rock were likely to think it was the best tv comedy of all time.

Most of the ones I speak do rate it that highly.

It is that good. I loved Spaced, and Green Wing was ok, but 30 Rock is leagues ahead of both.

It's leagues ahead of everything.

Badly written, terribly acted and about as entertaining as hemorrhoids. I've seen funnier documentaries about genocide. So that's a no from me.

Yes, I remember someone previously tried to compare it to the excreable 2 Pints of Lager.

Gavin & Stacey is funny. Not as funny as 30 Rock but one of the best British comedies currently on the box.

I guess all the strong female characters must be putting off the boys comedy club here.

I only saw the Christmas special and loved it. I saw it as more of a funny soap than an outright comedy, though. I have known people just like those characters (except Nessa, but she's brilliant) and their interactions seems totally natural. Unlike many shows where the characters are really realistic, they're portrayed in an utterly sympathetic manner - no comedy of embarrassment.

I'd watch it from the start if only my GF and best friend were willing to as well.

My post pointed out the stupidness of your arguement.

And good work on the yoghurt thing. I actually don't think anyone has mentioned that before at all.

Season 1 & 2 were actually pretty good. I'm glad I saw them before it became apparent what a absolute honking twat Cordon is.

Unfortunately Season 3 is all a bit shit so far.
